I know you said at the end of this piece that you are looking for outliers, but do you have any thoughts on types of companies or businesses that might be able to break this cycle? Or is it that the lifecycle is the just the lifecycle and no company is immortal?

You also mention the difference between a city and a business. Is there a method in which companies have previously implemented “innovation first” approaches to business that give them an edge to beating the sublinear pattern?
